  • Creō Kids is an enriching, licensed child care program through the Fraser Health Authority, offering a safe, creative, and inspiring environment for children ages 5–12. Conveniently located at 1253 Johnston Rd, adjacent to White Rock Elementary, we proudly serve the South Surrey/White Rock community with a maximum capacity of 19 children per day, allowing for personalized care and attention.

We are committed to keeping quality child care accessible by accepting ACCB (Affordable Child Care Benefit) and participating in the BC CCFRI (Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative).

    PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our art-focused camps are designed to spark creativity, confidence, and imagination while balancing hands-on studio time with outdoor play. Each day brings a new artistic adventure as children explore a wide variety of art projects and techniques, including painting, drawing, sculpting, collaging, beading, mixed-media crafts, and more. Over the course of two weeks, children are encouraged to experiment, problem-solve, and express themselves through different creative mediums.

Daily schedules also include free play time, where children can relax and socialize through arts and crafts, Lego building, reading, board games, and puzzles.

    FACILITIES & ENVIRONMENT

Our bright 1,200-square-foot art studio provides an inviting space for creativity and exploration. We also take advantage of the nearby playgrounds and fields at White Rock Elementary for outdoor activities, giving children the opportunity to stay active, get fresh air, and enjoy unstructured play in a supervised setting.

    SAFETY & CARE

A minimum of two qualified supervisors are on duty each day. All staff have completed criminal record checks, as well as Responsible Adult and Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR certification, in accordance with Fraser Health requirements. Supervised lunch and snack breaks are provided daily, ensuring children feel supported, cared for, and safe throughout their time with us.

At Creō Kids, every day is an opportunity for children to create, explore, and play in a nurturing, supportive, and art-inspired environment.

***Before registering, familiarize yourself with our policies as stated below thoroughly to ensure our camp will be the right fit for your family

    THE RIGHT FIT

As our camp is centered around arts and crafts, it's essential that your child has an interest in these activities to fully enjoy the experience. Children who are not engaged in or excited about art may not find the camp enjoyable, and we want to ensure every child has a positive, fulfilling time with us. If your child has a passion for creativity and hands-on activities, they’ll love our camp! However, if arts and crafts aren’t a fit for their interests, this may not be the best experience for them.

Our camps are designed to focus primarily on creativity and artistic expression, and may not be the best fit for children who are highly energetic or in need of intense physical activity. While we do offer outdoor play sessions 2 to 3 times a day, our program is not structured around sports or vigorous physical activity. Children who thrive in environments with more physical engagement might find our camps less fulfilling, and their high energy could inadvertently disrupt the experience for others. If your child is looking for a more active, sports-focused environment, another camp might be a better match

Our camps are designed for children who are physically and mentally able to engage in age-appropriate activities both in the studio and outdoors. Children must also be able to use the washroom independently and do not require one-on-one supervision.

    PAYMENT & FEES

Payment in full is due at the time of registration. Base fees are based on a 6 hour day, early drop off and late pick up is by the hour. All art supplies used during camp/class is included in our fees.

    ACCB (Affordable Child Care Benefit)

If you are eligible and will be applying for ACCB (Affordable Child Care Benefit) it is the parent/guardians responsibility to acquire and submit to us the appropriate forms to complete on our end. The parent/guardian is responsible for submitting the completed documents to the government for approval. Once approved and we have received confirmation and funds we will issue a reimbursement for the approved amount.

    AGE REQUIREMENT

All children must be of the appropriate age according to the class/camp title on the first day of class/camp - No exceptions. Children must be between the ages of 5-12 years and be enrolled in Kindergarten to grade 5.

    SAFETY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & AGREEMENT

The safety of your child, as well as that of others, is our top priority. By enrolling your child in Creō Art Studio & Creō Kids programs, you confirm that your child does not have any physical, emotional, or social conditions that would make participation unsafe.

Additionally, to ensure a safe environment for everyone, we ask that your child refrain from running while in the art studio or while traveling to and from the playground. Running in these areas poses a risk to both your child and others. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

    BEHAVIOUR

At our camp, we expect all children to treat others with kindness and respect, and to handle our studio environment and materials with care. We strive to create a positive, supportive atmosphere for all campers.

In the event of behavioral issues, we reserve the right to contact parents for immediate pick-up. Please note that no refunds or credits will be issued for children sent home due to behavior-related concerns.

    SNACKS & LUNCH

We encourage all families to send their children along with healthy snacks and water bottles. For full day care please provide a nutritious lunch and adequate snacks. We do not provide meals and we are a NUT FREE facility.

    CLOTHING

Students are asked to dress informally with casual, loose, and comfortable clothing. Appropriate outdoor attire based on the weather must be brought to camp as we spend time on the playground and outdoors daily. We provide aprons to protect clothing and we also love to have fun and get messy! Ensure your child is properly dressed for Creō – this means wearing shoes and clothing that is ok to get dirty.

    PERMISSION TO SHARE

We love promoting our art classes, camps and events and sharing it with others. We may take photographs, video and/or audio (the “Media”) during our art classes, camps and parties to post on our social media and website only. We are the sole owner of any Media and may use the Media in any way, in our sole discretion. You grant us permission to use your child’s image without any restriction and waive your right to inspect or approve the Media.
