BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE

  • Creō Kids is a licensed program through the Fraser Health Authority. Our maximum capacity is 19 children per day. We accept ACCB (Affordable Child Care Benefit) and participate in the BC CCFRI (Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative) to help keep child care costs low for families. Our art focused before & after school care program is offered for children attending elementary school between the ages of 5-12 and operates out of Creō Art Studio. Located at 1253 Johnston Rd, adjacent to White Rock Elementary, we offer a safe and creative learning environment in a convenient location for families of children who attend White Rock Elementary

    We encourage a variety of activities such as arts & crafts, open-ended projects, organized sports, planned group games, science experiments, reading/quiet time & homework assistance. Children have the ability to choose based upon their own developmental skills and interests. Before and after school care can be tiring for the children after an early morning or a long day at school. Our program revolves around each individual child’s needs and their choices. We offer projects, activities and games for children to engage in if they feel like. Areas will allow for active or quiet activities which give children an opportunity to socialize and work on co-operation and group problem solving skills. We do not run our program like a class and believe that children need time to rest and recuperate and work at their own pace based on their own individual needs.

    The safety and well being of all children in the program is of the greatest importance and will be maintained in several ways. To ensure each child feels their individual needs are being met, and in turn, help to build his/her self-esteem and character - guidelines for behaviour will be developed with the children in their development of self-discipline. Positive reinforcement methods will also be used in order to help children develop a positive pattern of behaviour with the other children in the program.
