Before & Afterschool Care & Summer Camp Childcare Supervisors & Leaders
Position Overview
Creō Kids is seeking a caring, creative, and responsible Childcare Supervisors and Leaders to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, fostering creativity, and creating a safe and engaging environment where kids can learn, play, and thrive.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising children, planning and facilitating activities, ensuring licensing and safety requirements are met, and maintaining positive relationships with families and staff.
Responsibilities
Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children ages 5–12.
Lead and participate in art projects, creative activities, games, and outdoor play.
Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children.
Manage daily attendance, sign-in/sign-out procedures, and program documentation.
Communicate professionally and positively with parents and caregivers.
Ensure compliance with all childcare licensing regulations, policies, and procedures.
Respond appropriately to behavioural, emotional, and safety concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming program space.
Prepare materials and assist with daily program setup and cleanup.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to deliver high-quality programming.
Participate in staff meetings and training as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
Minimum 19 years of age.
Responsible Adult Certification (or eligibility to obtain).
Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR certification.
Clear Criminal Record Check for working with vulnerable persons.
Previous experience working with children in a childcare, recreation, education, camp, or similar setting.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
A minimum of 3 character references and previous work experience references
Preferred:
Experience in a licensed childcare environment.
Education or training in Early Childhood Education, Child & Youth Care, Education, Recreation, or a related field.
Interest or experience in art, creativity, and hands-on learning.
Experience planning and leading activities for groups of children.

Compensation
$21 to $25 per hour depending on experience, qualifications and availability with room for growth
Schedule
Part-time, Monday to Friday during afterschool hours, with opportunities for additional hours during professional development days, school breaks, workshops, camps, and special events.
